About Me

Cheryl joined the Whitaker organization in 1985 as an Administrative Assistant and Corporate Secretary. Over the years, Cheryl has worked her way up to VP of HR and Administration where she is responsible for the administration of employee benefits and corporate insurance. Throughout her career with Whitaker, Ms. Evans has acquired an in-depth knowledge of the company’s administrative and human resources needs and has led the development of many of the company’s HR and benefits programs including a compliance program for the GSA contract. Among her accomplishments is the successful opening of satellite offices for Whitaker, including lease negotiation and build-out.

Ms. Evans was the 2005 recipient of the Whitaker Way Award in recognition of her dedication and outstanding service to the organization, and the 2017 Admin of the Year.

Prior to her career at Whitaker, Ms. Evans was an executive assistant to the Vice President of Finance for RM Mayfield Constructors.
