Philanthropy

It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Whitaker Companies was founded in 1983 on six core values that are known as The Whitaker Way: Professionalism, Integrity, Performance, Teamwork, Respect and Balance.  These core values are applied not only in the office, but also in our philanthropic commitment to our local communities.

Our sales and recruiting teams are active volunteers in their respective industry associations and as a company Whitaker provides time off, capital donations and sponsorships for employee involvement with the following organizations:

  • Houston West Chamber of Commerce
  • MD Anderson
  • Refresh Frisco
  • Royal Oaks Country Club Scholarship Golf Tournament
  • Star of Hope
    • Glad Tidings
    • We Care Houston Packages
  • Susan G Komen Race for the Cure
  • Various donations to employee’s selected charity (Toys for Tots, etc)

As we continue the season of gratitude and giving, we thank all our employees for their year-around effort to support Star of Hope in Houston! It is because of their generosity during our recent donation drive that we were able to donate HUNDREDS of hygiene items for Star of Hope’s “We Care Houston” hygiene packages today!
