Whitaker Companies Named Best Staffing Companies to Work For by Staffing Industry Analysts
March 23rd, 2020 by Cassie Fisher
Houston, Texas, March 20, 2020 – The Whitaker Companies today announced it has been named as a Best Staffing Firm to Work For winner for 2020.
Given annually by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), SIA’s Best Staffing Firms to Work For award recognizes companies for their top performance in engaging their employees and creating a workplace conducive to talent development, enjoyment, collaboration and productivity. The winners were recognized at SIA’s 29th annual Executive Forum North America.
Whitaker has long been recognized for its workplace culture, ranking Best Places to Work in Houston by the Houston Business Journal in 2013, 2014, 2018 and 2019. This is the first year Whitaker has participated in SIA’s national program and is honored to make the prestigious list on our first attempt.
“We are proud to be recognized year after year as one of the best places to work in Houston. Now to be honored by Staffing Industry Analysts as a national “BEST PLACE TO WORK” is a testament to our team’s focus in doing their very best for our clients’ AND candidates’ successful outcomes” said Bruce Whitaker, President of The Whitaker Companies. “Although we are still a work in progress, this national award confirms we’re headed in the right direction and supports our slogan ‘We Win When You Do’.”
“With their strong commitment to employee engagement and building a high-performance culture, the companies on this year’s Best Staffing Firms list are setting the bar high. From newer and niche players to veteran businesses, from traditional offerings to innovation in action, from local organizations to entities with global reach, these firms are demonstrating that a highly engaged workforce is one of the few sustainable sources of competitive advantage in staffing,” said Barry Asin, SIA President. “Congratulations to the winners for this important recognition.”
Over 250 firms sought participation in the program this year, which was conducted by SIA in conjunction with Quantum Workplace, an Omaha, NE-based company. Internal employees at each firm were asked to complete an online survey that measured key engagement categories, focusing on items including teamwork, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, manager effectiveness, compensation and benefits. In order to gather statistically sound results, participating companies must have reached a minimum level of employee participation, based on their total number of employees. Companies were ranked in each category according to their overall score. Winners were chosen based entirely on the survey results.
